Zirconium Orange Watercolor Ink is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor ink made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every bottle is meticulously hand mixed, poured, and sealed, using only pure distilled water, raw honey, and a small amount of all natural, pure gum arabic to achieve an exceptionally vibrant and richly pigmented liquid.

In use, Zirconium Orange gives a strong, elegant orange ideal for florals, portrait work, textiles, ceramic surfaces, and atmospheric glazes in both landscape and figurative painting. It has moderate tinting strength and a semi-opaque character, allowing it to build smoothly from delicate veils of color to more solid passages without becoming chalky. It mixes beautifully with yellows for peach and coral tones, with reds and violets for rich rose, orange, and red orange hues, and with earth pigments for sophisticated, naturalistic skin tones and quiet, warm neutrals.
