Zinc-Chrome Yellow is our exquisitely hand-crafted oil paint made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every tube is meticulously hand mulled, filled, and labeled using only pure cold-pressed walnut oil (linseed oil available upon request) and the maximum amount of hand-ground and richly textured pigment.

This form of Chrome Yellow is derived from zinc chromate, offering a clear, bright lemon-yellow with slightly cooler undertones than lead-based chrome yellows. Known for its strong tinting strength and durability, this pigment delivers an opaque, finely textured yellow that performs beautifully in botanical work, highlights, and historic palettes.
