YInMn Blue is our exquisitely hand-crafted oil paint made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every tube is meticulously hand mulled, filled, and labeled using only pure cold-pressed walnut oil (linseed oil available upon request) and the maximum amount of hand-ground and richly textured pigment.

YInMn Blue is a modern synthetic mineral pigment composed of yttrium (Y), indium (In), and manganese (Mn). Discovered accidentally in 2009 by researchers at Oregon State University, YInMn Blue is celebrated for its extraordinary vibrancy, exceptional lightfastness, and remarkable stability across a wide range of mediums. It presents a rich, highly saturated blue with a subtle violet undertone and a crystalline, almost electric brightness unmatched by traditional blues.
