Description
Volcanic Ash White is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated and high quality single source pigment mixed only with pure honey. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, hand packed, filled, and labeled — ensuring maximum pigment concentration without any binders, fillers, or extenders. Our unique formula uses only one pigment and pure local honey, delivering a maximally concentrated watercolor paint.

Volcanic White is a softly textured, mineral-rich white watercolor made from finely ground pumice or volcanic ash, offering a warm, stone-like off-white with subtle granulation and natural variation. Mined from ancient volcanic deposits, this pigment evokes the raw beauty of geological processes and brings an earthy, tactile quality to your palette.

Unlike smooth, opaque Titanium White, Volcanic White is fairly translucent and naturally granulating, making it ideal for adding texture to skies, stonework, handmade papers, and muted natural tones. Its soft, off-white tone blends gently with earth pigments and is especially suited for landscape work, muted palettes, and historic or naturalistic color schemes.
