Viridian is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, filled, and labeled—using only pure local honey and a small amount of all natural, pure gum arabic to achieve an exceptionally concentrated and richly textured pigment.

Viridian is a cool, deep green made from hydrated chromium oxide. First developed in the 19th century, this pigment quickly became a favorite among painters for its smooth handling, excellent transparency, and subtle granulation. It offers a balanced green with a slightly bluish cast, ideal for glazing, botanical illustration, and atmospheric effects. With its outstanding permanence and classic tone, Viridian remains a foundational color in historical and professional palettes.
