Description

Verdigris Watercolor Ink is our exquisitely hand crafted watercolor ink made with an extremely concentrated, high quality single source pigment. Every bottle is meticulously hand mixed, poured, and sealed, using water, pure local honey, natural gum arabic, a small amount of food grade sodium benzoate preservative, and less than 1% bentonite to slow settling and aid reincorporation. Every ink is single pigment with maximum concentration and no fillers or extenders.

Verdigris Watercolor Ink is a luminous, captivating green blue inspired by the natural patina that forms on copper through oxidation, specifically, copper acetate. This historic pigment delivers a uniquely radiant tone with a naturally organic character, showcasing the patina of time worn copper artifacts and aged architectural details. Its smooth, fluid consistency and subtle transparency make it ideal for expressive brushwork, intricate calligraphy, and atmospheric washes. Perfect for artists seeking a blend of historical authenticity and modern vibrancy, Verdigris Watercolor Ink infuses your work with a timeless, enchanting quality.

This is my fourth purchase from this shop and I am so pleased in the consistency in the product quality and customer service. Jerome also does a great job offering new products to keep you coming back from more! This is my first time trying the inks and they were fabulous! They offer a variety of transparencies and dry down to a lovely matte finish. I’ve used mine with brushes, painting them directly into a painting and with a dip pen to get finer lines and a bit more control. I highly recommend Verdigris. Like the paint (verdigris coarse), it is very granulated and so fun to use. I took squeezes from the top, middle and bottom of the bottle (after letting it settle) and each layer had something different to offer. I am in love with this shop and these products. They are all just so good. Highly, highly recommended!
