Description
Maya Blue is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, filled, and labeled, using only pure local honey and a small amount of all natural, pure gum arabic to achieve an exceptionally concentrated and richly textured pigment.

Maya Blue is a vivid, enchanting blue created from the genuine integration of real palygorskite and inigofera sufruticosa both from Mexico using the traditional method of wooden paddles splashing to oxidize the leuco-indigo into it's blue form. This striking color, is the same vibrant blue found in Mesoamerican murals and codices, delivers an enduring, radiant blue with a naturally organic character. Its vibrancy and subtle granulating properties make it ideal for glazing, layering, and crafting compositions with emotional depth and expressive nuance. Perfect for artists who value historical authenticity and vibrant artistry, Maya Blue brings a truly natural and mesmerizing quality to your work.
