Rosso Veneto is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, filled, and labeled, using only pure local honey and a small amount of all natural, pure gum arabic to achieve an exceptionally concentrated and richly textured pigment.


Rosso Veneto is a deep, warm red earth pigment sourced from natural iron oxide-rich deposits in the Veneto region of Italy. This traditional ochre produces a robust, earthy red with subtle violet undertones, excellent opacity, and soft granulation. Long used in fresco, tempera, and oil painting, Rosso Veneto is ideal for classical figure work, landscape, and historical palettes where rich, mineral color and permanence are essential.
