Raw Sienna is our exquisitely hand-crafted oil paint made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every tube is meticulously hand mulled, filled, and labeled using only pure cold-pressed walnut oil (linseed oil available upon request) and the maximum amount of hand-ground and richly textured pigment.

Raw Sienna is a warm, golden-brown made from a single natural earth pigment with centuries of artistic tradition. Mined from clay deposits rich in iron oxide and silica, this timeless color has been used by artists since the Renaissance for its natural warmth, gentle transparency, and exceptional stability. Raw Sienna is ideal for landscapes, skin tones, botanical work, and atmospheric washes—offering a beautiful middle ground between yellow ochre and burnt sienna. Its smooth, semi-transparent flow make it a versatile workhorse in both classical and modern palettes, blending harmoniously with both warm and cool colors.
