Description

Orange Ochre is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, filled, and labeled, using only pure local honey and all natural gum arabic to achieve an exceptionally concentrated and richly textured pigment. Every paint is single pigment with maximum concentration and no binders, fillers, or extenders.

Orange Ochre is a vibrant, sunbaked earth pigment that radiates warmth and natural richness. Sourced from iron-rich clay deposits, this single-pigment watercolor is beloved for its bold, earthy orange tone with golden undertones. Historically used in frescoes and traditional art across Europe and the Mediterranean, Orange Ochre brings a lively, natural glow to landscapes, botanical studies, and figure work. Its strong tinting strength and smooth handling make it a versatile color for both bold statements and subtle blends. With its semi-opaque coverage and slight granulation, Orange Ochre layers beautifully, offering a classic, organic feel to every brushstroke.
