Description
Orange Ochre is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated and high quality single source pigment mixed only with pure honey. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, hand packed, filled, and labeled — ensuring maximum pigment concentration without any binders, fillers, or extenders. Our unique formula uses only one pigment and pure local honey, delivering a maximally concentrated watercolor paint.
Orange Ochre is a vibrant, sunbaked earth pigment that radiates warmth and natural richness. Sourced from iron-rich clay deposits, this single-pigment watercolor is beloved for its bold, earthy orange tone with golden undertones. Historically used in frescoes and traditional art across Europe and the Mediterranean, Orange Ochre brings a lively, natural glow to landscapes, botanical studies, and figure work. Its strong tinting strength and smooth handling make it a versatile color for both bold statements and subtle blends. With its semi-opaque coverage and slight granulation, Orange Ochre layers beautifully, offering a classic, organic feel to every brushstroke.
