Description
Oak Gall Ink is our exquisitely hand-crafted ink made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every bottle is meticulously hand mixed, poured, and sealed, using only pure distilled water and a small amount of all natural, pure gum arabic to achieve an exceptionally vibrant and richly pigmented liquid.
Oak Gall Ink is a deep, dark ink created using the traditional process of extracting tannins from oak galls combined with copperas (iron sulfate). This historic formulation, long esteemed by scribes and artists alike, produces a rich, intense tone with robust saturation and fine expressive qualities. Its smooth, fluid consistency makes it ideal for detailed calligraphy, manuscript illumination, and expressive washes—perfect for artists seeking a timeless connection to traditional craftsmanship.
