Description
Mulberry Leaf Lake is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated and high quality single source pigment mixed only with pure honey. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, hand packed, filled, and labeled — ensuring maximum pigment concentration without any binders, fillers, or extenders. Our unique formula uses only one pigment and pure local honey, delivering a maximally concentrated watercolor paint.
Mulberry Leaf Green is a gentle, plant-based watercolor pigment created from the leaves of the mulberry tree (Morus alba), traditionally associated with silk production and ancient textile dyes. This natural, organic green produces a soft, muted chartreuse to olive hue with subtle undertones—perfect for capturing the living character of botanical subjects, verdant landscapes, and natural light. Our Mulberry Leaf Green is crafted using a traditional lake pigment method, extracting color from fresh leaves and fixing it to an alum base. With its delicate transparency and ethereal glow, this rare pigment is ideal for glazing, layering, and expressive washes. A true gem for artists seeking sustainable, plant-based pigments with ecological resonance.
