Description

Limonite is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, filled, and labeled—using only pure local honey and a small amount of all natural, pure gum arabic to achieve an exceptionally concentrated and richly textured pigment.

Limonite is a warm, earthy yellow derived from genuine limonite mineral, one of the oldest iron oxide pigments known to humanity. This historic color, is the yellow of prehistoric cave paintings and traditional earth tones, delivering a robust, granulating texture with excellent opacity and subtle, natural variation. Ideal for grounding landscapes, adding rustic warmth, and building layered washes, it’s perfect for artists seeking both timeless authenticity and expressive depth.
