Description

Lead-Tin Yellow is our exquisitely hand-crafted oil paint made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every tube is meticulously hand mulled, filled, and labeled using only pure cold-pressed walnut oil (linseed oil available upon request) and the maximum amount of hand-ground and richly textured pigment.

Lead-Tin Yellow delivers an opaque, warm buttercup-yellow hue prized since the Renaissance for its superb hiding power and permanence. Its fine particle structure and high refractive index give it a luminous, buttery body on canvas—ideal for bright highlights, opaque passages, and soft accents. Unlike many organic yellows, Lead-Tin Yellow maintains excellent flexibility and resists embrittlement over time, making it equally suited to classical underpainting and contemporary impasto.
