Description
Lapis is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated and high quality single source pigment mixed only with pure honey. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, hand packed, filled, and labeled — ensuring maximum pigment concentration without any binders, fillers, or extenders. Our unique formula uses only one pigment and pure local honey, delivering a maximally concentrated watercolor paint.

Lapis Lazuli is one of the most prized and iconic pigments in the history of art. Made from the semi-precious gemstone mined in the mountains of Afghanistan, this deep, celestial blue was once more valuable than gold and reserved for the most sacred subjects—such as the robes of the Virgin Mary in Renaissance masterpieces. Our Lapis Lazuli watercolor is hand-mulled from high-grade, natural stone, carefully purified to yield a soft yet luminous blue with delicate granulation and ethereal transparency. This pigment produces gentle, atmospheric washes with a uniquely spiritual character. Ideal for sacred art, botanical studies, and elegant glazes, Lapis Lazuli offers an unparalleled connection to the ancient and the divine.
