Lamp Black Watercolor Ink is our exquisitely hand crafted watercolor ink made with an extremely concentrated, high quality single source pigment. Every bottle is meticulously hand mixed, poured, and sealed, using water, pure local honey, natural gum arabic, a small amount of food grade sodium benzoate preservative, and less than 1% bentonite to slow settling and aid reincorporation. Every ink is single pigment with maximum concentration and no fillers or extenders.

Lamp Black Watercolor Ink is a deep, velvety black made from the fine soot collected from the burning of pure oil. This ancient pigment, used since antiquity in manuscript illumination, calligraphy, and painting, offers a rich, cool black with smooth flow and excellent permanence. Its slightly granular texture and matte finish make it ideal for expressive brushwork, detailed line art, washes, and traditional ink painting. Lamp Black Watercolor Ink delivers unmatched depth and timeless utility in both historical and modern artistic practices.
