Lamp Black Watercolor Ink is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor ink made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every bottle is meticulously hand mixed, poured, and sealed, using only pure distilled water and a small amount of all natural, pure gum arabic to achieve an exceptionally vibrant and richly pigmented liquid.

Lamp Black Watercolor Ink is a deep, velvety black made from the fine soot collected from the burning of pure oil. This ancient pigment, used since antiquity in manuscript illumination, calligraphy, and painting, offers a rich, cool black with smooth flow and excellent permanence. Its slightly granular texture and matte finish make it ideal for expressive brushwork, detailed line art, washes, and traditional ink painting.
