Description
Indigo is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, filled, and labeled using only pure local honey and all natural gum arabic to achieve an exceptionally concentrated and richly textured pigment. Every paint is single pigment with maximum concentration and no binders, fillers, or extenders.
Indigo is a deep, velvety blue pigment made from the fermented leaves of the Indigofera tinctoria plant. Used for thousands of years across cultures, from ancient Egypt and India to Japanese textiles and European oil painting, indigo is revered for its rich, moody tone and natural beauty. Our Indigo captures that essence with a dark, inky blue that leans toward gray and purple in dilute washes. It flows smoothly, stains gently, and blends effortlessly into shadow tones, skies, and botanicals. Whether you're creating expressive night scenes, historic palettes, or quiet, contemplative works, Indigo brings a timeless, soulful quality to your art.
