Description
Venetian Red is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated and high quality single source pigment mixed only with pure honey. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, hand packed, filled, and labeled — ensuring maximum pigment concentration without any binders, fillers, or extenders. Our unique formula uses only one pigment and pure local honey, delivering a maximally concentrated watercolor paint.
Indian Red is a deep, cool-toned red earth watercolor made from a single natural iron oxide pigment. Known for its dense opacity, velvety texture, and superb lightfastness, Indian Red has been prized by artists for centuries—especially in portraiture, figure work, and architectural studies. Its muted, bluish-red undertone adds elegance and gravitas to any composition, while its strong covering power makes it ideal for layering, defining shadows, or grounding color palettes. With a smooth, slightly granular finish, Indian Red delivers rich historical character and professional performance, perfect for both classical and modern work.
