Fra Angelico Watercolor Ink is our exquisitely hand crafted watercolor ink made with an extremely concentrated, high quality single source pigment. Every bottle is meticulously hand mixed, poured, and sealed, using water, pure local honey, natural gum arabic, a small amount of food grade sodium benzoate preservative, and less than 1% bentonite to slow settling and aid reincorporation. Every ink is single pigment with maximum concentration and no fillers or extenders.

Fra Angelico Watercolor Ink is a radiant, sky toned blue used in the heavenly blues of early Renaissance frescoes and the masterpieces of Fra Angelico. Crafted using the traditional methods passed down through generations, this ink is produced from natural lapis blue extracted from high quality lapis lazuli. It delivers a luminous, pure blue with amazing granulation and excellent transparency. Its smooth, fluid consistency and superb lightfastness make it ideal for detailed calligraphy, expressive washes, and fine line work, perfect for artists who seek to evoke the timeless beauty and spiritual grace of classical art.
