Description
Fra Angelico is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated and high quality single source pigment mixed only with pure honey. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, hand packed, filled, and labeled — ensuring maximum pigment concentration without any binders, fillers, or extenders. Our unique formula uses only one pigment and pure local honey, delivering a maximally concentrated watercolor paint.

Fra Angelico Blue is a radiant, sky-toned blue inspired by the heavenly hues seen in early Renaissance frescoes, particularly those of the Florentine monk and painter Fra Angelico. Crafted from a single mineral pigment, this color evokes the purity and grace of celestial robes and divine skies that defined religious art in the 15th century. Our Fra Angelico Blue is made from high-quality natural ultramarine, offering a luminous, slightly violet-leaning blue with delicate granulation and excellent transparency. With smooth handling and superb lightfastness, this historic pigment is ideal for glazing, layering, and creating spiritual or dreamlike atmospheres. A perfect blend of beauty and tradition, it’s essential for artists working in classical or sacred styles.
