Cobalt Zinc Aluminate Blue Watercolor Ink is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor ink made with an extremely concentrated, high-quality single source pigment. Every bottle is meticulously hand mixed, poured, and sealed, using only pure distilled water, raw honey, and a small amount of all natural, pure gum arabic to achieve an exceptionally vibrant and richly pigmented liquid.

In use, Cobalt Zinc Aluminate Blue gives a powerful yet refined blue ideal for intense skies, deep water, architectural shadows, and cool passages in landscape and figure work. It has strong tinting strength without the overwhelming staining of phthalo blues, making it easier to control in mixtures and lifts. It mixes beautifully with reds and earths for complex violets and shadow neutrals that remain clean rather than muddy.
