Description

Chrome Iron Manganese Black (PBr46) is a handmade single-pigment chrome iron manganese brown mixed-oxide pigment. Built on a complex mineral matrix of chromium, iron, and manganese oxides, it forms an extremely stable, ceramic-style pigment. It produces a deep, earthy brown-black with a neutral-to-slightly-warm undertone and subtle hints of olive and bronze in lighter tints. Compared to standard iron oxide browns, this color is a bit deeper and more refined with a slightly cooler, more architectural character and excellent covering power.

In use, Chrome Iron Manganese Black gives a controlled, robust black ideal for tree bark, earth, stone, shadowed foliage, weathered wood, leather, and architectural subjects.
