Description
Brown Ochre is our exquisitely hand-crafted watercolor paint made with an extremely concentrated and high quality single source pigment mixed only with pure honey. Every pan is meticulously hand mulled, hand packed, filled, and labeled — ensuring maximum pigment concentration without any binders, fillers, or extenders. Our unique formula uses only one pigment and pure local honey, delivering a maximally concentrated watercolor paint.
Brown Ochre is a richly toned, single-pigment watercolor crafted from natural earth deposits high in iron oxide and manganese. This historic pigment has been used by artists for centuries to create warm shadows, natural skin tones, and grounded earth tones. Its earth, deep-brown hue is ideal for landscape work, botanical illustration, and portraiture, offering a soft depth and gentle texture that blends seamlessly with other natural pigments. Brown Ochre has a smooth, semi-opaque body with subtle granulation, making it versatile for layering, glazing, and dry brush techniques. Its natural warmth and timeless character make it a staple in any artist’s palette.
